Mauritius Trip
For our Easter break, we went to Mauritius after a long time. We decided to visit and spent some time with our grand parents and also, get an update of the beautiful island we have not visited in a long time.
Our departure - Our A330 waiting for us
This time, we got to travel on the tram when we went to the capital city. It was a nice ride free from traffic but on the way, it was crowded and for sure, the goverment will look into adding more wagons so they can accommodate the sheer amount of commuters.
le jardin de la compagnie in Port Louis, the capital city
We went to the capital city to see some fair - there, we saw a lot of local produce being for sale. Sadly, upon our arrival to the fair that day, the heavens decided to open which made the level of humidity worse. It made it unbearably hot!!
Black River gorge
Another day, we set off to explore the midlands and the southern part of the island. The places we came across were Black River gorges, Plaine Champagne, St Felix, Riambel Souillac ...
local flowers
On one of the days, we saw a sea plane when we were travelling on the coastal route and we wanted to go for a tour of the coast but we had to book well in advance. We were told that bookings must be made 3-4 weeks in advance. Bad luck!!
During our last visit, I vaguely remembered seeing the lighthouse but I wanted to see it again. We were very lucky the last time as we were able to climb up the loghthouse to see the rough sea but not this time as they have stopped it a while ago.
one of the city centres we enjoyed going to, especially in the games floor
Tribeca Mall is a newly built shopping mall and we had the pleasure to visit it one evening with our family. We spent some of out time in the games floor with our cousine who was our guide there whilst the rest of the adults were on their way to the shops.
