Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport Trip

Today, we had decided to embark on the long drive to Manchester Airport to do some planespotting! Manchester receive aircraft that are not usually seen at Heathrow such as Jet2 757's, Easyjet A319/320's, TUI 737's and many more! Therefore, this opportunity was too good to miss!

Canada bound : One of Air Transat's A330's operating back to Canada is seen here departing 23L, against ominous looking skies

Rollers Rolling : RB211's (something you don't hear at LHR these days!) powering this aging 757 back to base to Reykjavik, Iceland. The days are now numbered sadly as time runs out for these classic Boeings.

Workhorse : The elusive Omni Air International 767-300ER screaming as it thunders its way down 23L operating an American-bound charter flight

Easy as... : The ever so common orange Airbuses dominate Manchester! This A320 is seen departing 23L on probably another sun-bound destination

In summary, it was a very fun day for all of us as we thoroughly enjoyed it! We also got to explore some of Manchester as on the way back, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant. Hopefully, if the weather permits, we would like to come back to Manchester for some more planespotting at this amazing location!
