Bloom 2023

This year, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what to plant for the summer and this is what I ended up planting. The perennials were a must and a guarantee to flourish in good time and last for the whole summer. That added colours to the garden and something to look forward when you wake up and look outside.

There was a selection of dahlias mostly red at times, the perennials and the begonias. We were so pleased with the results. However, one of my battles was to keep the squirrels at bay - in the past, I tried so many things to keep them at bay but this time, I think we have nailed it (by using mulch which was very effective).
