STIXX Workshop

Today, I was so excited because there was teaching and the reason for that was because we were going to make a house with newspapers! The host was called Jeremy King came and he had invented this really cool but simple gadget that could make newspapers into a solid poles that were unbreakable.  This World War II STIXX workshop showed us how to make model air raid shelters out of newspaper and cable ties.

First, you had to stack three newspapers on top of each other and then you put a bit of paste and put it into the top bit of the newspaper and then you take it and put it in the STIXX machine. You just had to make sure that your fingers didn't go in the machine otherwise they would chopped off!

There were six groups and we all worked very hard but unfortunately, my group didn't win. Our house was shaped as a triangular prism but we chose a good shape as it was very strong!
