RAF Bunker trip

Since our main topic is about World War II, I visited the historic - Battle of Britain Bunker in Uxbridge. Our tour of the Bunker included some very important areas such as the Service Room where we saw maps of the Battle of Britain and how the British Army was deployed.

We also learnt all about the Ignima code and its use in the ‘Sea Lion’ operation. Following a tour of the Bunker, we visited the museum and we were able to identify many different army symbols and learnt about the relationship between the Observer Corps and the Royal Air Force.

I have learnt the importance of all these inventions so were used during the War to defend the country from the enemies.
