First Assembly

'Stomp stomp stomp ...'

Last week was another step in my life since I attended religious school for the very first time. Every Saturday, I have to go for few hours in order to learn more about my faith. We get to learn prayers, ginans and special tasbihs when we attend JamatKhana.

Today I had my first assembly in Bait-Ul-Ilm and my class (Nursery class) participated. We had to learn a song about animals of the jungle and I chose to be an elephant. The idea behind the song is that all the animals of the jungle are Allah's creation. We had to imitate what the animals do in the jungle. Mine was "stomping like an elephant", so I had to stomp when I heard the elephant.

I was very happy today after the performance. My parents and my brother came to see me do my number. I was all dressed in grey like the elephant. I think that was a proud moment for my parents. I hope there will many more of these moments and I certainly want to make my parents very proud of me.
