standing all by myself and ALONE

Technically I could blow 3/4 of a candle or have 3/4 of a big cake but it's not very far from now. I am 3 months away from my first birthday.

I have grown up so much. So many things are happening in my little body. I am almost on the verge of crawling properly. At the moment, when I get on all fours, I tend to crawl backwards.

These days I love to imitate what my parents do like tapping on the shoulders,pinching, slapping, clapping, doing the nosy guy and opening the curtains. I am just like a mirror. Toys that represent adult objects, such as the telephone or the remote control are among one of my favourites right now. Mimicking is an important way for me to learn.

I am close to taking my first steps and may lift one foot off the ground to take a practice step while standing with assistance. I like standing against the sofa. I can stand for quite a while. I like it when maman or papa hold my hands and help me walk for a while - this is one of my favourite moments.

My stomach and back muscles are increasing in strength, and my balance is improving. I can go from lying on my stomach to a sitting position all by myself, and I can also recover my balance well while sitting. When crawling, I can now balance on one hand while reaching for an object with the other.
